How to Maintain Your ASCM APICS Certification

You worked hard to get your certification. Five years seemed like a long time, but suddenly it’s time to re-certify and you feel overwhelmed by the need to earn 75 points. The Wisconsin Chapter is here to help with an explanation of how to earn certification points, keep track of your points, and re-certify once you have 75 points.

Re-certification Point Options Available through the ASCM Wisconsin Chapter:

  • New Foundations Courses in Inventory Management, Distribution & Logistics, Planning, and other Supply Chain topics
– most are 27 points per module (27 hours to complete) - $145 for Wisconsin Chapter Members per course.

ASCM Wisconsin Chapter - Store

  • Supply Chain Certificates on popular topics like Resilience, Technology and Supplier Relationship Management
– 20 points per Certificate (20 hours to complete) - $450 for each course for Chapter Members.
**The Certificates do not require maintenance, and you will receive a digital badge to display on LinkedIn or in your email signature.

  • Renew your annual membership (6 points)

  • Attend events including evening Professional Development Meetings (PDMs) and Breakfast Roundtables (1 point each)

To see how many points you have towards re-certification, and to record points from items not tracked by ASCM, log into your ASCM Certification Dashboard. Attending events is not automatically tracked and needs to be added to the dashboard manually.

  • Read supply chain articles. Articles are available in the Supply Chain Management Review - www.scmr.com (.5 points per full-length article read).

Once you have the 75 points needed to re-certify, you can submit your maintenance application right from the Certification Dashboard.
