Professional Development Meetings (PDM)

Professional Development Meetings are typically held monthly.  Local, regional, and national speakers are featured presenting assorted topics of interest to today's supply chain professionals. PDM typically includes a meal, networking, and a speaker. Often PDMs include company tours.

Attendance provides 1 CE point towards recertification.

All PDMs require pre-registration.

About our past PDM

Wacker Neuson Group

The visit offered a firsthand look at world-class manufacturing and provided meaningful insight into real-world supply chain excellence.
The evening began with a guided tour of Wacker Neuson’s state-of-the-art facility, where participants observed innovative production methods and lean operations supporting a diverse global customer base. Following the tour, Jeff McKain, CSCP, CPIM, Director of Supply Chain, delivered an engaging presentation on supply chain strategy, operational excellence, and how Wacker Neuson continues to adapt and thrive in a rapidly evolving business environment.


Schaefer-Gornell Brush Manufacturing

Attendees gained firsthand insight into the craftsmanship and innovation behind their high-quality products. The guided walk-through of the facility showcased the entire manufacturing process from start to finish. Alan Schroeder, Purchasing Manager, delivered a special presentation on the company’s procurement strategies and operations. Guests also enjoyed a catered buffet provided during the event.

Milwaukee Tool 

This tour provided a firsthand look at the cutting-edge amenities and the dynamic environment where Milwaukee Tool employees make the magic happen. It gave an inside look at the operations, showcasing the hard work, collaboration, and expertise that drive the company forward.

At the end of the tour, Matt Prange, Senior Vice President of Supply Chain, walked us through Milwaukee Tool’s remarkable success. He shared insights into how the team has navigated challenges while keeping our strong company culture at the forefront of everything they do.


Mathison Manufacturing

The event had various components, starting with a focus on the importance of choosing a contract manufacturing partner.
It introduced "The Glass Factory," an innovative approach aimed at assisting small- and medium-sized companies in addressing workforce challenges by embracing technology, analyzing production inefficiencies, encouraging proactive thinking among employees, and incorporating additive manufacturing practices.

Mathison Manufacturing, in particular, was highlighted as a case study for utilizing The Glass Factory. The company was shown to leverage this innovative approach to bring visibility to the shop floor, increase production capacity, and shift its sales strategy.

Wisconsin Foam Products

The tour hosted by Wisconsin Foam Products offered a valuable opportunity for participants to witness the company’s dedication to providing inventive, solution-oriented, and cost-efficient foam alternatives across various applications and industries. 

Led by Jim Olsen, the tour showcased the company's rich history, core activities, and operational methodologies.


Latitude Corporation

Latitude Corporation hosted an exclusive tour that provided participants with an in-depth understanding of the company's core values, long-term goals, and notable achievements.

We embarked on a guided tour of the cutting-edge facility, gaining firsthand knowledge of the company's advanced equipment and innovative processes.
We concluded the event with a networking session at the Draft House in Verona.

Rite Hite

The event showcased Rite-Hite's diverse range of equipment in action, providing attendees with a firsthand look at their functionality in a live and secure environment.
Demonstrating a commitment to customer collaboration, Rite-Hite emphasized its global presence, with its equipment widely utilized in businesses of all sizes. 
The session proved to be an enlightening and engaging experience, catering to professionals specializing in different aspects of logistics.
